Work Package 1
WP1 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION
Milestone: Project management and coordination
Objective
WP1 ensures a sound, effective and efficient management and coordination of the whole project, in agreement with the associated PIs, the involved staff, the administrative personnel, and in compliance of the best practices. Furthermore, it ensures the achievement of project objectives, the respect of time and budget constraints and the interaction among project partners.
Methodology
A distributed leadership approach will be adopted, with different levels of responsibility, defined in an organization chart. The project timing, defined in the Gantt diagram, as well as the deliverables, will be monitored by means of progress bars and checklists. Online platforms will allow focused meetings; a team mailing list and the website, as well as cloud storage will allow communication and data sharing.
Tasks
Task 1.1. Planning, general management, and communication refer to the implementation of an efficient exchange of administrative information and in particular financial documents and reports among partners, ensuring a continuous control and coordination of the activities through an organizational structure. Each associated PIs will setup administrative duties under PI supervision. A website dedicated to the project will be implemented for information sharing between RUs, as well as to ensure adequate visibility of the project to potential stakeholders.
Task 1.2. Monitoring, reporting and quality assurance will ensure the timing release of all deliverables in the required form
(documents or reports, models, data, etc.). Within the task a kick-off meeting and an intermediate one will be organized to evaluate the project status, to monitor the activity progress and actions, to ensure the coordination among the different WPs and the achievement of objectives. Quality assurance will be based on the identification of best practices and experiences; furthermore, potential risks within the project will be identified and collected in a register, so that corrective actions can be adopted after internal audits.
